Bolan Times (Media Desk): On 10.12.2022, a protest march was organised by Baloch Students Action Committee (Turbat Zone) from Atta Shad Degree College to Shaheed Fida Chowk, Turbat against the systematic burning of Schools by unknown persons in different areas of Balochistan.  A large number of people from different walks of life including students participated in the protest rally.  Carrying banners & placards, the protestors chanted slogans against the educational authorities and Pak govt for their inability to protect the education institutes and put the culprits behind bars. The protestors termed the serial burning of Schools in Balochistan as a conspiracy to keep Baloch youth away from education by Punjabi dominated govts. 

The protestors were also furious with the govt and administration for not taking any action against the culprits who had attacked the schools and set them ablaze which indicates that the ruling regime has no interest in public safety. The protestors said that such incidents will cause fear and panic in the younger generation. The education system and structure in Balochistan is already in state of shambles. There are only few schools in Balochistan where the local children used to go to get education and now they too have been burnt as part of an organised conspiracy 

It maybe noted that atleast 4 schools have been burnt in Balochistan in last 6 weeks. The incident of school burning are as follows : 

1) 05.11.2022 : a govt girls school burned in Pasni, Distt. Gwadar.

2) 21.10.2022: Khan kalg High school Dazin in Kulkashan school was burned in Kech district of Balochistan. 

3) 16.10.2022 : an English medium school burned in Buleda ul Nur, Distt Kech.

4) A private educational institution,  The Citizen Foundation in Sonmiani in Vandar area was also burned by unknown person in November.
